Ductile Damage Prediction of Advanced High-Strength Sheet Steel Using an Enhanced Crack Criterion

  • Hao H. Nguyen

摘要

This paper focuses on the applicability of the enhanced damage model used for predicting ductile fracture of advanced high-strength steel (AHSS), namely double-phase sheet steel DP980. Several specimens are specially designed to take into account the range of positive stress states, from pure shear to equi-biaxial tension. The force–displacement relation obtained from numerical simulations is compared with experimental data and the crack initiation in each specimen is considered as the moment of load dropped suddenly. Two ductile fractured dominant parameters namely stress triaxiality and Lode parameter are picked to construct the plastic fracture locus of the material. The results archived by numerical simulation agreed with the experimental data which reflects the correctness of the proposed model.
