Research on the Production of Civil Products by TPIF Technology
摘要
Handicraft hollow products might be appeared in antiquity time by carving on soft and even stiff solid materials such as stone, gold, bronze, wood, limestone etc. Nowadays, the Two Point Incremental Forming (TPIF) technology, a branch of Incremental Sheet Forming (ISF) technology, could perform the geometrical accuracy of the hollow model in small batch or single production with high productivity with a couple of hours without depending on the complexity of the products. TPIF can be applied also in industry: the car body, tip of shinkansen, inner panel, heat or noise shield, logos, feature lines on the door, fender attaching boss pockets, etc. In this paper we represent the processes of forming hollow products by empirical processes on the ISF machine with special features in our laboratory. The work shows that the application of ISF forming technology is effective in the case of forming less than 50 products, if above this value, the process does not bring high economic efficiency.
