IoT System Design for a Smart Medicine Dispenser Serving Multiple Patients

摘要

This paper presents the design and implementation of an IoT system for a smart medicine dispenser serving multiple patients at the same time. To do this task, the paper focuses on developing and improving features for smart medicine dispensers based on IoT systems. Firstly, the feature of the security through the user name and password to access the system to increase the safe of the system. Secondly, the feature of configuring and managing devices remotely through Web browsers to create the most favorable conditions for doctors and patient caregivers. Thirdly, in order to prevent patients from using medicines incorrectly, the smart medicine dispenser needs to be responsive in terms of medicine collection time as well as confirm whether the medicine status has been taken from the device. Fourthly, improve self-administration of the correct dose and type of medicine for solid drugs. Fifthly, the feature of recognizing the patient's face was added for the correct picking mediction. Finally, the system can remind users of medication through notifications on mobile devices, or lights and sounds from smart medicine dispensers. To verify the features of this system, the experimental results are presented to show the improvement in the quality and reliability of the system.
