Exploring the Theoretical Efficiency of an R134a Two-Phase Ejector as an Expansion Device

Recent research studies have placed considerable emphasis on the typical two-phase ejector cycle due to its potential to enhance refrigeration cycle efficiency. This paper delves into the analysis of the ejector expansion refrigeration cycle, utilizing R134a as the chosen medium due to its moderate pressure characteristics. The investigation considers the impact of various operational parameters, including condensing temperature, evaporation temperature, separator temperature, and superheating temperature. The results of these calculations reveal that all these parameters significantly influence cycle efficiency, with the cycle's COP experiencing a notable 12.6% increase when compared to the traditional vapor compression refrigeration cycle under experimental conditions.
