Study of Drying Kinetics During Cocoa Roasting in Rotating-Pulsed Fluidized Bed

The cocoa roasting process in a rotating-pulsed fluidized bed is examined. Cocoa drying curves for different roasting temperatures are presented. A generalized drying curve was constructed from all the experiments performed, and a dependence was derived describing this curve. The results of the conducted experiments are summarized by constructing a generalized drying curve. The equation of the generalized drying curve is derived, which can be used in engineering calculations of the cocoa roasting process in a rotating pulsed fluidized bed.
