Fluxomics and metabolic flux analysis (MFA) are cutting-edge experimental techniques in a biological system focuses on quantifying the flux of metabolites through metabolic pathways in living organisms. This involves not only measuring the abundance of metabolites but also determining the rates at which these metabolites are being synthesized and consumed. In contrast, MFA is a quantitative approach that employs mathematical modeling to estimate the intracellular fluxes of metabolites. Metabolic flux analysis (MFA) integrates experimental data, including isotopic labeling and metabolite concentrations, with computational algorithms to offer insights into the metabolic activity of cells or organisms.
