摘要

The paper delves into the imperative realm of fire safety in light of the increasing incidence of fire-related emergencies. Traditional fire detection systems relying on human intervention are noted for their unreliability and potential for delays. In response to these limitations, this paper explores the emerging landscape of smart fire detection systems empowered by the Internet of Things (IoT), showcasing their capacity for heightened accuracy and rapid response. The central objective of these IoT-driven systems is to detect fires in real time and promptly alert relevant authorities while taking swift actions, such as activating alarms and sprinkler systems. Employing a spectrum of sensors, including smoke detectors, heat sensors, and flame detectors, connected to a central hub, the system analyzes sensor data to discern fire events and communicates alerts to authorities via various means. The paper also addresses hardware requirements, presenting a block diagram of the proposed system and real-world testing, underscoring its efficacy in diverse environments. Ultimately, this paper emphasizes the role of IoT-based fire detection systems in advancing fire safety and emergency response, with the potential to minimize losses in life and property as IoT technology continues to evolve.
