摘要

The fauna of the family Lygaeidae Schilling, 1829 in the Middle East comprises 86 species and subspecies within 26 genera. Also, Iranian Lygaeidae includes 53 species and subspecies in 21 genera of which the genera Nysius and Spilostethus, both with six recorded species, are more diverse than the others. Additionally, the fauna of Iran is the most diverse among the Middle Eastern countries.
