摘要

The fauna of the family Nepidae Latreille, 1802 in the Middle East comprises six species in three genera, Laccotrephes Stål, 1866, Nepa Linnaeus, 1758 and Ranatra Fabricius, 1790. This family has been recorded from 11 countries of the Middle East so far: Iran (six species), Israel (three species), Egypt, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Turkey (each with two species), Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen (each with one species).
