摘要

The fauna of the family Stenocephalidae Dallas, 1852 in the Middle East includes 12 species in the genus Dicranocephalus Hahn, 1826. Also, Iranian Stenocephalidae comprises nine species, which is the most diverse among the Middle Eastern countries. In addition to Iran, this family has been recorded from 13 other countries of the Middle East: Iraq, Israel, Yemen (six species), Saudi Arabia, Turkey (five species), Oman, Syria (four species), Cyprus, Egypt, Jordan, United Arab Emirates (three species), Kuwait, and Lebanon (two species).
