摘要

The fauna of the family Hydrometridae Billberg, 1820 in the Middle East comprises six species in the genus Hydrometra Latreille, 1796. Also, Iranian Hydrometridae includes three species, Hydrometra gracilenta Horváth, 1899, Hydrometra maindroni Hungerford and Evans, 1934, and Hydrometra stagnorum (Linnaeus, 1758). This family has been recorded from 13 countries of the Middle East thus far: Egypt, Iran (three species), Iraq (two species), Cyprus, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen (one species).
