Competency-Centered Taxonomy Focus on VISIR Remote Experiment
摘要
The use of technological tools to support education became evident during the COVID-19 pandemic. Among such tools are remote laboratories, which are online platforms providing access to real experiments manipulated from a distance, like VISIR, a remote experiment platform for electrical circuit practices. Effectively integrating remote laboratories as a teaching strategy requires considering pedagogical aspects, contextual factors, and the applicability of competencies, while highlighting the learning outcomes for both educators and students. Hence, the primary contribution of this paper lies in the development of a competency-centered taxonomy specific to VISIR competencies. This taxonomy is established after conducting an exploratory review of state-of-the-art studies on the competencies required and/or developed after engaging with remote experiments.
