摘要

The dynamics of such a lively, changing, diverse and active musical genre, rooted in a tradition, in its own schemes and operating mechanisms, such as jazz is, imply a reading with different approaches in order to analyze education in the scope of this musical genre. To the traditional knowledge transfer processes that involve face-to-face and community activities of relationship among musicians (and pooling of projects) that involve “jam sessions” (meeting of musicians on stage to interpret songs in a usually improvised way) or participation in “big bands” (orchestras in which knowledge is transmitted from veteran to young musicians), the Knowledge Society provides numerous online tools, as well as the extensive development that the recent confinement due to the Covid-19 pandemic has meant for online classes, all of which are resources that are of great importance as a complement to a formal didactics received by musicians in conservatories and music schools. This paper analyzes these traditional dynamics in jazz, their formalization in the Knowledge Society, as well as proposes the development of a specialized OER in this musical genre.
