Exploring the Impact of ChatGPT on Education: A Case of Study on Spanish Tweets
摘要
ChatGPT has gained widespread adoption due to its user-friendly nature and disruptive outputs, but its arrival has also raised ethical concerns and led to debates about its correct use. In the education sector, while some institutions have regulated ChatGPT’s use to prevent plagiarism, others argue that it should be included as a new powerful tool to improve learning methodologies. In order to measure the impact of ChatGPT on the Spanish-speaking education system, this work leverages sentiment analysis and topic modeling on Twitter data during the first months of 2023. Thus, we aim to provide a preliminary report on the impact of ChatGPT on education in Spanish-speaking countries, contributing to a better understanding of its perception and usage within the educational context of such countries. The results indicate that ChatGPT is seen both as an ally and an enemy, with a slightly negative overall perception. Moreover, the two main uncovered topics are related to the learning of using ChatGPT and the associated risks of this technology.
