Nature-Based Solutions
摘要
Sustainable solutions are best observed in nature itself and indigenous communities in their traditional practices have adapted them through ages. In this portion, nature-based solutions are discussed in the context of decarbonized action for adaptive mitigation of climate change impacts. While it explains NbS with its genesis in the current context and defines it by its types and principles, as well compares its aspects and impacts with ecosystem-based adaptations (EbA), it also explores case studies of NbS and EbA for a comprehensive analysis of the two for understanding their significance in accomplishing sustainable development in the climate milieu and their potentials in augmenting community resilience. It explains the role of community in adapting to NbS and EbA and recommends a framework for inclusive growth and sustainability therein.
