Digital Health and Technology Adoption
摘要
The rapid advancement of information technology has ushered healthcare systems into a digital era, characterized by Internet-connected medical facilities, digitized health data, and transformative innovations like electronic health records (EHRs) and telemedicine. The global demand for digital healthcare transformation has intensified, particularly post-COVID-19, underscoring the need for robust policies to accelerate adoption across public and private sectors. Central to this shift is the role of healthcare professionals, who must develop digital health literacy to effectively navigate, interpret, and apply digital tools for patient care. This chapter explores the progression of digital health in the Asia-Pacific region, with a focus on Hong Kong’s healthcare landscape. It examines the challenges and opportunities in technology adoption among professionals and analyses policy frameworks aimed at enhancing digital health literacy to ensure equitable, efficient, and patient-centred care.
