摘要

Plants and herbs are the one of the major sources of novel bioactive chemicals such as anthocyanins, alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolic groups, amides, tannins, and saponins, etc. These plant-derived chemical constituents are attained from various parts of the plant bioresources possess medicinal properties and play an essential role in health of human beings and their biological activities. The naturally obtained plant bioactive components are highly employed as a medicine or herbal remedies that can be used for making a new active drugs in order to rectify the growing problems of drug resistance as well as reduce the toxicity effect of different antibiotics. The increasing significances of plant-derived bioactive secondary metabolites for both plant and human disease management, have insisted for the creation and development of new biologically active by-products. By keeping this view, this chapter will be highly discussed the bio-medicinal efficacy of different plant-based bioactive metabolites as a novel drug.
