摘要

Patients should be instructed to keep their neck still, hold their breath, and not swallow while being scanned. Before the examination, patients should lie in the supine position on the CT scanning table, and high-density objects that may interfere with the test should be removed. The patient’s head is fixed if necessary, and he or she should be instructed to pull their shoulders down to keep both arms next to the body (to avoid clavicle artifacts). Neck CT angiography (CTA) mainly uses the following three scanning techniques: conventional CTA, digital subtraction CTA, and dual-energy CTA.
