摘要

Advances in CT technology have made CT angiography (CTA) an important tool for the noninvasive evaluation of cardiovascular diseases. The high value of CTA in the diagnosis, therapy efficacy evaluation, and prognosis of cardiovascular diseases has been confirmed. Due to the widespread application of CTA, the associated ionizing radiation has attracted increasing attention in the last decade. Since ionizing radiation carcinogenesis is a random effect, the principle of as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) should be strictly followed in clinical practice. Various methods should be used to reduce radiation dose of CTA while preserving the image quality and diagnostic accuracy to meet diagnostic needs.
