CT Angiography Image Postprocessing and Data Analysis

摘要

Advancements in multislice spiral CT hardware technology have resulted in continuous improvements in its spatial resolution and temporal resolution. In addition, combined with reasonable scanning parameters and personalized setting and adjustment of the contrast agent injection method, the image quality of CT has greatly improved, making it one of the mainstream technologies for imaging examination. However, volume data acquisition raises a new question for radiologists: Do they need to spend more than half an hour to read large amounts of thin-slice data in a single CT examination (completed in seconds)? Is there a reasonable way to simplify the image reading and maximize the efficiency of integrating the large amount of data obtained by volume CT scan to reduce the reading time? The reconstructed axial CT data are reformatted and processed interactively to form a complete volume image so that the observer can visually observe the three-dimensional morphology, internal structures, and relationship with the surrounding tissues of blood vessels and lesions from different angles. Quantitative measurement of two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) data provides the necessary information for early and accurate lesion diagnosis and provides an important basis for making clinical treatment plans. Operators need to understand the basic principles and advantages and disadvantages of various image postprocessing techniques and consider the basic principles of “highlighting lesions” to perform targeted image reconstruction and achieve twice the results with half the effort.
