摘要

The Cyber Physical System (CPS) has emerged as one of the most widely used technologies in the modern age to enable-efficient interactions between things and people to raise the standard of living. Fog computing is an appealing model for processing data gathered from IoT networks as IoT technology advances. Data from sensor nodes is processed by intermediary fog nodes and cloud computing environment servers in fog computing technology. On the other hand, resource management is one of the most challenging problems to solve in the fog environment due to limited resources, heterogeneity of resources, dynamic character, and unpredictability of the fog environment. There are a number of resource management algorithms that have been used by different researchers, but no systematic and thorough analysis of fog computing is offered. We present an organized state-of-the-art on resource management strategies and algorithms in fog environment in this paper. Fog computing is thoroughly described, along with the reasons why it is necessary and the problems. In terms of energy consumption, makespan, average turnaround time, delay, and failure rate, comparative analysis using various baseline techniques is given.
