New Method for the Mechanical Analysis of Deep Twin Tunnels

The stress calculation problem of two or more parallel tunnels can be solved using the Schwartz alternating method, which is applicable to multiple connected domain problems by treating them as a series of simply connected domain problems. This method requires repeated iterations, and the stress boundary conditions are increasingly satisfied as the number of iterations increases. The Schwartz alternating method can only carry out a limited number of iterations initially, and a small number of iterations results in low solution accuracy.
