In Chap.  4 and 5 , the methods for solving the stress and displacement of the lining and surrounding rock of circular and non-circular lined tunnels under various contact conditions were discussed. Chapter 10 also discusses the case where the surrounding rock of non-circular lined tunnels is anisotropic. For simplicity, it is assumed that the depth of the tunnel is relatively large, and this problem is treated as an infinite domain problem. From Chap. 11 , it can be seen that shallow tunnels can only be treated as infinite domain problems when their buried depth is greater than 10 times the tunnel radius. In practical engineering, shallow tunnel problems are often encountered, such as underground transportation tunnels in cities, pipe gallery tunnels, and hydraulic tunnels. Chapter 11 discusses the solving method for the stress and displacement for unsupported shallow buried circular tunnels. The ground surface must be considered as a boundary condition to obtain some mechanical characteristics different from deep buried tunnels and calculate the ground surface displacement caused by tunnel excavation. Shallow buried tunnels are generally supported, which mainly includes bolt support and lining support. Therefore, it is also of great significance to study the problem of shallow buried lined tunnel.
