TagTrackr: A Smart Asset Tracking Solution

In today’s fast-paced business world, it is essential to have an effective system for managing employee movement and productivity within an organization. However, traditional asset tracking and employee management systems often fall behind, resulting in inaccurate timekeeping, security breaches, and communication breakdowns. This paper aims to propose a solution for all-around organizational asset tracking—TagTrackr. A smart asset tracking solution that uses Near Field Communication (NFC) and real-time location tracking monitors employee movement and productivity within an organization, allowing employees to check in and out using secured NFC technology. TagTrackr accurately records their arrival and departure times, ensuring better time management and productivity. In addition, real-time location tracking helps the organization monitor the movement of employees within a fixed perimeter of the workplace, allowing for greater safety and security. The study demonstrates NFC’s superiority over RFID and face detection for check-in/out records, offering cost-effective, accurate, and secure solutions. The TagTrackr system combines NFC with real-time location tracking, aiding user movement monitoring. It highlights efficient asset management's importance, suggesting TagTrackr for automation, enhanced utilization, and improved safety across industries.
