Micropenis: DSD Perspective

Micropenis—A purely clinical entity featured by the stretch penile length less than 2.5 SD from the normal age-specific penile length. Microphallus is a term often assigned to small phallus usually seen in patients with DSD (Disorders or Differences in Sex Development). A meticulous clinical examination and systematic approach are needed in managing such patients. Most of the cases can be managed with expectant treatment or hormonal supplementation. This chapter highlights different etiological conditions, investigations, diagnostic protocols, and different management options and psychosocial effects in patients with micropenis.
