摘要

Gender is a social construct of male and female with varied responsibilities. Any deviation from optimum gender may create some problem in form of various behavioral expression which may be affected by neurophysiological changes. The gender incongruence may be due to the fronto-occipito-parietal disconnection. Brain structures like right insula, pre-cuneus, temporo-parietal junction, orbital and medial frontal, and anterior cingulate cortex have been implicated in cognitive processes. The brain dimorphism may also be due to combine genetic and epigenetic changes.
