Inclusion and Well-Being of Children with DSD: Challenges and Strategies
摘要
Well-being is a multifaceted paradigm that incorporates physical, psychosocial, and emotional elements. The experience of well-being for children with Disorder of Sexual Development can be challenging due to the lack of understanding, the prevalence of biases and stereotypes, and the paucity of research evidence from a psychosocial standpoint. The current chapter describes the difficulties experienced by children with DSD and their families across the multilayered systems context. The chapter also attempts to delineate a few eclectic strategies for creating an inclusive ecological system for children with DSD.
