Context of the Study

Chapter three presents the context and methodology of the study. The first section focuses on educational settings in Indonesia where the research was carried out. It offers a concise overview of the national curriculum, highlighting how religious education textbooks guide teachers and students in cultivating attitudes of tolerance within school and daily interactions. Following this, the methodology section outlines the data collection process, including participant demographics, the tools utilised, and the quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods employed. Data reported in this book was part of a larger study. The other parts of the data were not included as they address different research questions not covered in this book. A summary will conclude this chapter.
