Liquid Metal Machine
摘要
Transformable manipulation of liquid metals involves the deformability and control of liquid metals to achieve dynamically reconfigurable structures. Various shape changes are accomplished by manipulating liquid metal viscosity, surface tension, and fluid properties. Deformation operations are generally performed by using external stimuli such as electric, magnetic, thermal, or mechanical forces to induce shape changes in the liquid metal. By applying these stimuli, the liquid metal structure could be deformed and reshaped in real time, thus realizing the dynamic deformation and reconfiguration of the liquid metal. Applications for liquid metal deformation manipulation include soft robotics, adaptive structures, reconfigurable electronics, and wearable technology. Using the unique properties of liquid metals, such as high electrical conductivity, flexibility, and biocompatibility, innovative ways could be explored to create composites and devices that constantly adapt to environmental changes and requirements. The deformable operation of liquid metals is a promising way to develop the next generation of material technologies, which could dynamically change the shape, function, and behavior of liquid metals, opening up new applications for the design, manufacture, and function of liquid metals in various fields.
