Yilong’s Approach: Empowering and Enabling Farmers’ Organizations

Yilong County is a large agricultural county with a population of nearly 1.2 million, located in the transitional zone from deep hills to low mountains in northeastern Sichuan. Due to the large population, small land area, and scarcity of resources, it had been a national-level impoverished county before it was lifted out of poverty after the implementation of targeted poverty alleviation.
