Yantai’s Experience: Party Branches Leading and Running Cooperatives

I am Yi Yuanliang, a 57-year-old resident of Yijia Village, Tingkou Town, Qixia County-level City, Yantai City. I joined the army in 1982 and returned to my hometown in 1996, where I was arranged to work in a collective enterprise in Qixia City. However, before I could start my job, the enterprise shut down. Then I ran my own business for 13 years after serving in the army for the same amount of time. In 2009, I was mobilized by the town Party committee to return to my hometown village and serve as the village secretary.
