Investigation of Co-dopant (Eu3+-Ce3+) Induced Electronic Transitions in LiCaBiB Glasses
摘要
The prepared co-doped (Eu3+/Ce3+) ions in lithium-calcium-bismuth-borate glasses were synthesized using the conventional melt quenching technique. It was evident from the x-ray diffractogram profile that the glasses prepared were amorphous in nature. The absorption data in the ultraviolet-visible region revealed that the Eu3+ ions had a greater effect than the Ce3+ ions, which typically act as sensitizers. Tauc’s plot explained how the indirect transitions vary with an increase in the concentration of Eu3+.
