摘要

In this paper, natural protein-based biodegradable gate dielectric components were explored to develop high-performance organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). Egg albumen/gelatin bilayer gate dielectric combination was used to operate the devices at a low operating voltage of −5 V. Maximum field-effect mobility (µ) up to 1.8 cm2 V−1 s−1 and an average threshold voltage of 0.5 V were exhibited from these devices. High operational stability in these devices were observed through various stability studies like repeatability, bias-stress, and cyclic stability. Circuit applicability was also analyzed by using the devices in resistive load inverters, exhibiting nice switching behavior dependent on load. These results indicate that devices based on natural protein dielectrics will be very suitable towards the development of next-generation green eco-friendly electronics.
