Recitation Versus Singing: A Prosodic Intervention
摘要
Many texts from Bengali literature are realized both in recitation and singing where surface structural difference between the two shows difference in mechanism. In this paper, we are trying to show that identical literary texts by forms mark the difference during utterance because of prosodic variation and to address that structural modifications are triggered by the change in prosodic pattern while transforming a poetic form into a song and vice versa. This research study will also consider whether linguistic conditions specify metrical organizations or empirical representations map the renditions of verbal art forms. We will use Fabb’s (Language and literary structure. The linguistic analysis of form in verse and narrative. Cambridge University Press, UK [2]) model of Generative Metrics in this study.
