Neural Networks

This chapter mainly describes the fundamental concepts of the neural networks. The structure and principle of the feedforward neural networks with Sigmoid activation functions and radial basis function networks are first introduced. Then, the equivalence relationship between the fuzzy inference systems described in Chap.  1 and the radial basis function networks is described. Based on this, the general equivalence structure and principle between the feedforwrad neural networks and fuzzy inference systems are presented in the chapter. These constitute another basis for the subsequent researches of the book.
