Orbital Angular Momentum Beam Techniques
摘要
The transmission capacity of optical wireless communication systems has approached the Shannon limit. The emergence of orbital angular momentum (OAM), as a new lateral space-dimension resource, can exponentially improve the capacity and spectral efficiency of optical wireless communication networks. Adopting OAM-related technologies can provide a potential solution for realizing ultra-high-speed and high-capacity cross-scene optical communications in the future. After comparing and summarizing the relevant domestic and foreign OAM research results, this chapter introduces the OAM research work in the field of optical wireless communication at Xi’an University of Technology. It is mainly divided into space generation, propagation characteristics, separation and detection, and OAM beam applications. Finally, the future development trends and prospects of OAM technology in the field of optical wireless communication are discussed, providing new ideas and reference values for subsequent researchers to explore in this field.
