Space–Time Coding

Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology uses multiple antennas at the sending and receiving ends, which can suppress channel fading, reduce the bit-error rate, and improve spectrum utilization. It makes space a resource that can be used to improve communication performance. In wireless laser communication, space–time coding combines the advantages of space and time diversity and simultaneously provides diversity and coding gains. Space–time coding can not only improve the channel capacity of communication systems but also suppress channel fading.
