Research Progress on Satellite Laser Communication Networks

Satellite laser communication network through space laser communication technology make up for the use of microwave wireless communication in satellite network, while having the global coverage capability of satellite network; it has the advantages of high data transmission rate, large communication capacity, low power consumption, small antenna size, strong anti-interference ability, and so on. This chapter summarizes the research progress of satellite laser communication networks at home and abroad, introduces the key technologies of satellite laser communication, and describes important parts such as orbits, inter-satellite links, and routing algorithms of satellite laser communication networks. Finally, the full chapter is summarized and the development direction of satellite laser communication network is prospected.
