Groundwater Quality Monitoring Using Machine Learning and Image Processing Techniques

Groundwater quality monitoring is critical for sustainable water resource management. Traditional methods of groundwater quality monitoring can be time-consuming, expensive and labour-intensive. In recent years, there has been an increase in interest in employing machine learning and image processing techniques to monitor groundwater quality. In this study, we reviewed different methods for monitoring groundwater quality utilising machine learning and image processing techniques. Our method is divided into four stages: data collection, pre-processing, feature extraction and classification. We use image enhancement techniques in the pre-processing stage to increase the quality of the acquired photographs.
