摘要

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the main substance that responsible for the greenhouse effect which makes our planet warmer. An evaluation of life-cycle carbon emission of underground space project is performed in this paper to find out carbon emission of a typical underground space project and compared with typical above-ground buildings. Measures to further reduce the emission of CO2 are also discussed in this paper. The result shows that production phase of underground space project generates more carbon emissions than above-ground building, but carbon emission in operation phase is lower. The application of operation, material and construction-related technologies to reduce energy consumption are proposed to reduce life-cycle carbon emission of underground space project.
