Early-age Cracking Control on High Strength Concrete with Nano-CaCO3
摘要
Nanomaterial is taken as a rapidly advancing material in improving the durability of concrete structures. Considering the excellent enhancement, nano-CaCO3 is relatively suitable nanomaterial incorporated in concrete for improving early-age performance. In this chapter, early-age cracking control on high strength concrete with nano-CaCO3 was investigated. The results showed that compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, and elastic modulus of high strength concrete were enhanced by adding nano-CaCO3. Relaxed stress or tensile creep decreased with the incorporation of nano-CaCO3. The addition of nano-CaCO3 decreased the cracking potential of high strength concrete under both circumferential and uniaxial restrained condition. Many criteria, such as cracking stress, stress reserve, and integrated criterion of cracking potential were taken to evaluate early-age cracking resistance of high strength concrete with nano-CaCO3.
