Results in the Existing Literature
摘要
In this chapter a description of the studies that were retrieved from the PubMed search which were deemed to be of interest is presented. This description includes the study’s aims, sample size, and results discovered. The results presented in this chapter show that interacting with dogs can give people with a wide variety of disabilities, such as those with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and autistic children multiple benefits. Such benefits include increased socialisation, greater independence, improved quality of life, and an increased sense of security and wellbeing.
