Implementation of Pothole Detection System and Automated Complaint Redressal with Road Transport Licensing Committee
摘要
Potholes are the significant problem in most developing countries. They present a major challenge to a nation’s infrastructure and growth, as well as contributing to numerous accidents and injuries that impact people’s lives and livelihoods. Therefore, addressing this issue efficiently and promptly is crucial for both the public and governments. We use a dataset obtained from Kaggle for training the model. This system typically utilizes sensors and cameras to scan the road surface and identify damaged or worn away areas. A pothole detection system uses the YOLOv5 that detects and locates potholes on roads and highways by warning drivers in advance, and collisions can be prevented. The system uses the advanced version of YOLO technique for pothole detection, provides real-time pothole location via Google Maps, and generates an automated email to the relevant authority from Road Transport Licensing Committee (RTLC) notifying them of the presence of the pothole.
