Simulation Study on Coil Electromagnetic Launching Fire Extinguishing Ammunition

In response to the current severe fire situation in high-rise buildings in China, this paper introduces the research status of fire extinguishing bomb launch devices, and explores the possibility of using electromagnetic launch of fire extinguishing bombs based on multi-level coil launch technology. By constructing a finite element model for transient simulation, the velocity, acceleration, and electromagnetic force characteristics of the fire extinguisher during launch were obtained. The results indicate that a fire extinguishing bomb with a mass of 4.7 kg can be accelerated to an exit velocity of 94.77 m/s through a six stage induction coil, which can basically meet the fire extinguishing height requirements of high-rise buildings.
