Online Monitoring Technology and Application of GCB Contact Resistance of Large Generator Based on AI

In the normal operation of GCB, its heat generation and heat dissipation can maintain a dynamic balance relationship. However, if for some reason causes poor contact of the contact, the contact resistance increases, under the action of the load current, the GCB will be abnormally hot, burn the contact, and accelerate the vicious circle of increased contact resistance and increased heat, resulting in violent expansion of GCB insulating gas, air leakage, and damage to insulation. This paper introduces a GCB contact resistance online monitoring technology in order to timely find the abnormal increase defect of GCB contact resistance, and issue corresponding alarms or jumping signals to achieve the purpose of protecting GCB.
