Study on the Spectral Response Characteristics of Grounding Electrodes in Horizontal Double Layer Soil Based on CDEGS

When designing grounding grids in practical engineering, the structure of the grounding electrodes and soil parameters are important influencing factors that need to be considered. In this paper, a two-layer soil simulation model is built by CDEGS. This paper analyzes the spectral response characteristics of the grounding electrodes under various grounding electrode structures and different soil environments. It is found that different grounding electrode structures have similar spectral characteristics. The length of the grounding electrodes has a significant impact on its spectral response characteristics, but the degree of its influence gradually decreases as the length increases. The influence of the upper soil thickness on the spectral response characteristics of the grounding electrodes mainly occurs when the resistivity of the upper soil is lower than that of the lower soil. The variation of the upper soil resistivity has a greater impact on the spectral response characteristics than the lower soil.
