A One-Step Method to Prepare Superhydrophobic Fluorocarbon Film on Aluminum with Good Anti-icing/Frosting Properties and Corrosion Resistance by Magnetron Sputtering

摘要

Icing on aluminum conductors may lead to power failure, which has attracted much attention. In this study, a one-step method was proposed to prepare superhydrophobic fluorocarbon film on aluminum by radio-frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering at 210 ℃ without any further processing. While sputtering, rough microstructure was directly constructed with the low-surface-energy fluorocarbon material at high temperature. The wettability, morphology and chemical composition of the as-prepared film were analyzed through corresponding methods. With a contact angle of 166.0° and a sliding angle less than 1°, the as-prepared film could effectively delay the icing and frosting process at the temperature of −10 ℃. Additionally, the as-prepared film exhibited outstanding corrosion resistance in simulated acid rain and kept its superhydrophobicity after 10 days of corrosion cycles.
