Influence of Al2O3 in UHV GIL Insulator on Properties of Epoxy Resin

Epoxy resin composite is used in UHV GIL insulators, and its performance directly determines the reliability of insulators. GIL insulators not only play the role of insulation and mechanical support in practical application, but also are affected by temperature field. Therefore, it is necessary to study epoxy composites according to the actual performance requirements of GIL. In this paper, the micro morphology, thermal properties, electrical properties and mechanical properties of epoxy composites with different alumina additions were systematically measured and studied. The results show that the properties of the composites with high filler ratio can meet the needs of application and have a higher economic. The results can provide a theoretical basis for the formulation design of GIL insulator.
