摘要

Cable is an important power supply equipment on electric locomotive, and its failure has a great impact on the safe operation of electric locomotive. Analyzing the causes of cable failure on electric locomotive and taking preventive and improvement measures are conducive to improving the stability and reliability of electric locomotive and even the railway system. In view of the failure phenomenon of 30 kV cable on an electric locomotive, a number of tests and analysis points out that the cable sample has no obvious defects and local overheating history. But there is the possibility of accidental defects caused by the cable production, transportation or construction process. This paper puts forward the operation and maintenance suggestions. The research results can provide reference for the construction, operation and maintenance of cable on electric locomotive.
