摘要

This chapter highlights the regional and international conflict potential of the Rohingya conflict in host country Bangladesh. The situation in South Asia has continually worsened due to the increasing complexity in bilateral and multilateral relations introduced by the Rohingya issue. The areas of regional and international conflict potential of the Rohingya conflict have thus far been assessed across areas of regional and international spheres of conflict. The regional sphere includes areas of mutual distrust and threat perception, insurgent activities and bilateral relationships, hampering regional cooperation, the vulnerability of Bangladesh, and illicit businesses and trafficking of women; while the sphere of international conflict involves multilateral relationships across various areas. The discussion then moves to focusing on the key areas of this dimension of conflict potential.
